THE WORK

The images reflect the belief that simplicity is the structural framework of beauty and timelessness. To the extent the work is guided by an aesthetic, it is the desire to reduce unnecessary context so that an image may be viewed on its own.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

FORMAT: Most of the work has been shot with a Mamiya RZ67 medium format camera. Many of the images use the square format although some recent work is presented in rectangular format.

DARKROOM: The images are printed on 11 x 14, 16 x 20 and, to a limited extent, 20 x 24 paper. With the exception of the 20 x 24 work, the images are printed on Brilliant variable contrast paper, which has a neutral base that facilitates very white “whites”. The images are selenium toned for archival and clarification purposes and stops short of changing the color or tone of the print.

MATS: All prints are overmatted in 8-ply pure white, archival, hinged mats.

PRICES: Price depends on size and image and prices currently range from $400 to $925.
